IPL: Farewell to RCB with victory,  SRH will now pray for KKR defeat

Sunrisers Hyderabad will now have to pray that Kolkata Knight Riders lose their last league match against Mumbai Indians on Sunday. If Kolkata wins this match then he will be in the playoff.

Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 4 wickets in the 54th match of IPL season 12. RCB has finished their journey in IPL 12 with the win, while Sunrisers Hyderabad will now have to pray that Kolkata Knight Riders will lose their last league match against Mumbai Indians on Sunday. If Kolkata wins this match then he will be in the playoff. Sunrisers Hyderabad, losing the toss, lost their last seven wickets for 20 runs and scored 175 runs and Royal Challengers Bangalore scored 176 for victory. In reply, Royal Challengers Bangalore lost to 6 wickets in 19.2 overs and scored 178 runs.

After this defeat, now Sunrisers have 12 points in 14 matches and Kolkata Knight Riders have 12 points in 13 matches. Now Sunrise will have to pray to defeat KKR with a big margin tomorrow with the Mumbai Indians. If Kings XI Punjab defeats Chennai Super Kings in the last place, then they will also have 12 points. In such a situation the net runrets will be decided and Punjab will have to win with a huge margin.

Royal Challengers Bangalore innings

Hero of this victorious farewell of Bengaluru was the hero Shimron Hetmayer and Gurkirat Singh. Both of them took the team out in extremely poor conditions and shared 144 runs for the fourth wicket. Hetmeier scored 75 runs off 47 balls with four fours and eight sixes. Gurkeerat scored 65 runs off 48 balls with eight fours and a six.

So far, Bengaluru was in crisis, but this season, Hetmeyer, who had failed in the early stages, roamed the last chance completely. He made the best half-century in this match. From the other end, he got good gurkeerith. Hetmeier completed his half-century by hitting six off the fourth ball of the 11th over. Gurkeerat also hit a six off the fourth ball of the 16th over and completed his fifty runs.

Both of them were easily growing on the way to Bangalore’s win, but Rashid Khan, Hetmeyer and Khalil Ahmed brought Gurkeerat out and thrashed the match. Khalil extended the difficulties of sending Bangalore’s beautiful (0) to the pavilion.

In the last over, Bengaluru needed six runs to win. Umesh struck the first two balls of Mohammad Nabi with two fours to give Bengaluru the fifth win of this season. Bengaluru finished the season with the lowest of the eighth position in the points table with 10 points from 13 matches and five wins in eight matches. Khalil for Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar twice and Rashid took one wicket for Hyderabad.

Sunrisers Hyderabad innings

On the durable innings of captain Ken Williamson (70 not out), Sunrisers Hyderabad managed to score 176 runs in front of Bangalore. Williamson, who stepped on the field in the eighth over, kept one end in the middle of the wickets and played a superb half-century innings to give the team a strong 175-run loss at the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs.

Besides Sunder and Saini, Chahal and Kulwant Khazorolia took one wicket each for Bengaluru.

Royal Challengers Bangalore win toss

Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli has decided to bowl after winning the toss and has invited the Sunrisers Hyderabad team to bat first. The host team has made three changes. Colin de Grandhom, Pawan Negi and Shimron Hetmayer have been given the chance to replace Marcus Stonyis, Washington Sunder and Henrik Klassen. Yusuf Pathan has got an opportunity from Hyderabad.
