Good news for BSNL and Vodafone-Idea users, will not give extra charge on Blackout Days
Government telecom company BSNL recently eliminated Blackout Days for its users. Now telecom company Vodafone and Idea have announced the complete elimination of Blackout Days on New Year’s Eve. This means that now users will not have to pay additional charges for SMS on December 31 and January 1.
In addition to 31 December and 1 January, except for special festivals such as Holi-Diwali, all festive days of this year will not require additional charge. BSNL, Vodafone and Idea have done all this to confront Reliance Jio.
Special Charges to be paid on special days:
Telecom companies call festivals such as blackout days. This means that users have to pay additional charges for messages on special days like New Year, Holi, Diwali. If there is a special tariff voucher in the user’s account on this day, then he does not even work on this day. But after eliminating Blackout Days, if any pack is active in the user’s account, then they will be able to use it on festivals too.
BSNL has said in the press release that on the new year, users will be able to take all the benefits of existing plans and special tariff services on festivals. Apart from this, Vodafone Idea has also issued a statement saying that Idea customers with Vodafone will now get special SMS for 365 days of the year.
